Pete was kept due to the fact my dad fell in love with him before he passed away, I'd bring Pete and a few other babies in to play in the house while dad sat in his wheel chair and petted them. He always liked Pete the best, I guess it was his charm and color. I favored the brother that was black but when my dad passed away I had to keep Pete as he was the last thing my father really got to enjoy. His name reflects this as well, they called my dad Pete, short for his last name Peterson. As Pete grew, I noticed that he was a very long, well balanced kid with an extremely flat rump. He was to be entered into some buck shows but wound up breaking his right leg, 2 months before the show, so due to his injuries he can not be shown. I have decided to keep him as his dam and his sire's dam died way before their time due to unforseen circumstances. They were not proven but I know the potential these animals had before they were lost. His dam Spring had an amazing udder, that was pretty identical to her dam's Ambrosia, one of Beckys does that I'd give half my herd for!!  The sire, Avatar was out of Goldstrike Nubians Patches, a doe that was just amazing, she was doing so well and appraised at a 90, I was so excited, but she too died before her time and before I could get her milk star.

 We have bred Pete once at the end of 08' to Goldthwaite Tallia, she had two beautiful very correct and flat rumped doelings. Although he does not look as impressive on paper at a glance, this buck and his brother used by Wendy Tinney of Dazed by Grace, will be one to watch. I believe this buck is going to really do some amazing things through his offspring!!
